Western Electric Smart Meter Deployments Well Underway
Utility Partners of America (UPA) reports significant progress as it nears the midpoint of several large-scale smart meter deployments representing 135,000 residential and commercial electric meter installations in the Western United States. UPA is serving as the installation vendor on behalf of Elster Integrated Solutions, LLC, for the following engagements:
- Black Hills Energy: 34,000 electric meter installations in Pueblo, Rockyford and Canon City, Colorado
- Black Hills Power: 66,000 electric meter installations in and near Rapid City, South Dakota
- Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power: 38,000 electric meter installations in and near Cheyenne, Wyoming
To date, UPA has installed more than 50,000 smart meters collectively for these initiatives and anticipates full completion of the work on or before the scheduled completion date.
